HSE Manager - EPC/Plant Construction
Job Details
Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will serve as the HSE subject matter expert for a high-value plant construction project in Singapore. The HSE Manager will take charge of overall site safety, health, and environmental compliance, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and internal standards. The role involves conducting site inspections, managing safety KPIs, and overseeing contractor performance from an HSE standpoint. You’ll lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training programs, while working closely with engineering teams to develop and implement safe work method statements for high-risk tasks. This individual will also liaise with regulatory authorities, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on HSE performance data. The position requires hands-on ownership of incident investigations, detailed reporting, and the implementation of targeted corrective actions — all while championing a strong safety-first culture on site.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 8-12 years of HSE experience in construction, with at least 5 years in pharmaceutical, chemical, or food plant projects.
- Site-level HSE management experience and Solid knowledge of Singapore’s WSH regulations and local EHS laws.
