Job Details
As the Plant Operations Leader, you will take charge of all plant activities, driving safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability. This role demands a hands-on leader with a strategic vision and the ability to inspire a high-performing team. Your contributions will be critical in ensuring the plant meets its performance goals and continues to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain coordination.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance, ensuring cost-efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Uphold the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance in line with regulatory and corporate guidelines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other industry best practices.
- Mentor, develop, and empower a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to align plant objectives with broader business goals.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver detailed performance reports.
- Address operational challenges proactively, implementing effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 8–10 years of leadership experience in plant operations, ideally within the specialty chemicals or process manufacturing industries.
- Strong expertise in EHS compliance and regulatory requirements in Singapore or similar markets.
- Proven experience in implementing operational excellence frameworks, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Adept in managing complex operations and cross-functional coordination.
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP is a plus.
- Certifications in Six Sigma, Project Management, or similar will be advantageous.
