We are hiring a Project Engineer – CAPEX for a leading international chemical plant owner in Singapore. This role offers a 2-year contract with the potential for extension and an attractive remuneration package. You will play a crucial role in managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring seamless execution from concept to commissioning within a dynamic and fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage CAPEX projects from feasibility studies to execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to drive project efficiency.
- Oversee project planning, design reviews, contractor management, and technical evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards (HSE), and best engineering practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, cost analysis, and progress tracking to optimize project outcomes.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align project objectives with business goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in CAPEX project execution within the chemical, refinery, or petrochemical industry.
- Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle, plant modifications, and shutdown projects.
- Proven experience in contractor/vendor management, procurement, and cost control.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
