Stemgenic is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a prominent nutrition startup to identify an exceptional regulatory leader for the position of Regulatory Affairs Manager. This strategic role, based in Bangkok, Thailand, is crucial to the company’s expansion plans following a significant investment aimed at accelerating growth across the Southeast Asia region. The successful candidate will oversee regulatory compliance and strategy, ensuring the company’s products meet all local and international regulatory standards.
Key Areas of Focus:
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations for the company’s products.
- Develop and implement regulatory strategies to support the company’s growth and market expansion in the Southeast Asia region.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and changes.
Product Registration and Approval:
- Manage the registration, submission, and approval process for new products in Southeast Asia.
- Prepare and submit regulatory documentation to obtain and maintain product approvals.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with R&D, quality assurance, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide regulatory guidance and support to cross-functional teams during product development and commercialization.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential regulatory risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Monitor and assess the impact of regulatory changes on the company’s products and operations.
Regulatory Intelligence:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging issues in the nutrition and food sector.
- Provide regulatory insights and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Regulatory Affairs, Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs within the food ingredients, nutrition, or food specialties sector.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and procedures in Southeast Asia.
- Proven track record of successfully managing product registrations and regulatory submissions.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
