Senior Beverage R&D / Product Development Specialist

We are supporting a privately held, family-owned investment group in the Middle East that is establishing a new beverage manufacturing facility in Oman. The manufacturing operation will span water, soft drinks, juices, as well as dairy and functional / nutritional beverages.

This is a critical hire. The role is intended for a senior, hands-on beverage professional who can own formulation, experimentation, and implementation end-to-end, rather than operate purely at a conceptual or desk-based level.

If you enjoy building products from scratch, testing them on real production equipment, and seeing them progress from concept to market, this role is designed for you.

Role Mandate

You will play a central role in establishing the beverage R&D and formulation capability for the factory. This is not a “support” role—it requires technical depth, creativity, and execution discipline.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing beverage formulations from concept to production, including water, carbonated drinks, juices, and future dairy-based products
• Translating management direction and market preferences into commercially viable formulations
• Personally conducting mixing, trials, and testing in the lab and on production equipment
• Adapting and optimising formulations by identifying alternative ingredients and raw materials
• Supporting scale-up, stability testing, and transition from pilot to full production
• Working closely with operations and production teams in a shift-based manufacturing environment

• Contributing to the build-up of a strong R&D culture as the business expands
