Job Details

Stemgenic has been appointed by an established international process-industry organisation to identify a senior production leader for a major operating facility in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Site Vice President and serving as a member of the site leadership team, the successful candidate will hold overall accountability for a production line covering feedstock pretreatment and industrial wastewater treatment.

This is a broad operational leadership mandate encompassing safety, regulatory compliance, production performance, reliability, product quality, yield, cost management and organisational capability.

The role will lead a sizeable, multidisciplinary production organisation comprising functional leaders, professional staff, technical specialists and shift-based operations teams.

This is not a general production-management appointment. Candidates must bring credible, hands-on senior leadership experience in the pretreatment of oils and fats, together with a strong operational understanding of industrial wastewater treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the safe, compliant, reliable and efficient operation of the pretreatment and wastewater-treatment production areas.
  • Own production performance across safety, availability, utilisation, throughput, quality, yield, cost and reliability.
  • Translate business priorities into annual operating plans, targets and improvement programmes.
  • Build a high-performance culture based on accountability, teamwork, ownership and disciplined execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement across production capacity, process efficiency, operating procedures and workflows.
  • Lead investigations into production interruptions, process deviations and equipment-related issues.
  • Identify and manage operational risks across facilities, equipment, processes and procedures.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Process Safety, Projects, Turnaround, Procurement and Finance to improve asset performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage operating expenditure and support relevant capital-investment and asset-development initiatives.
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment, capability development, performance management, succession planning and employee engagement.
  • Contribute to site strategy and performance as a member of the refinery leadership team.
  • Maintain effective communication with senior management and represent the production function with regulators, authorities, contractors, vendors and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to share best practices, technical solutions and performance-improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on senior leadership experience in the pretreatment of oils and fats.
  • Strong technical and operational understanding of industrial wastewater-treatment processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end value optimisation across feedstock pretreatment and wastewater-treatment operations.
  • Proven experience leading a large, multidisciplinary production organisation, including functional leaders, specialists and shift-based teams.
