Candidate Protection
We never charge candidates any recruitment fees. Here’s how to recognise recruitment scams and protect yourself.
At Stemgenic, we are dedicated to fostering an environment of trust, transparency and ethical recruitment practices. We want every candidate who interacts with us to be well informed and protected from recruitment scams. This page explains our candidate fee policy and highlights common recruitment scams to watch out for.
Our No-Fee Policy
Stemgenic is committed to upholding fair and ethical recruitment standards. Our services to candidates are always free of charge, for every part of our recruitment process — we firmly believe your skills and qualifications should speak for themselves.
Please Note — Career Consulting Services
Our career consulting service is an optional, paid advisory service, agreed in writing. It is a candidate-specific service: we advise you on your market positioning, who to approach and how, and you then approach organisations directly. As it is a separate service — not a recruitment or placement service — it is charged to the candidate.
It is entirely independent of our recruitment work: taking part does not give you access to, or priority for, any Stemgenic client vacancy, and it is never a condition of being considered for a role.
Recruitment scams are unfortunately common. Be alert to these red flags.
Be cautious of any opportunity that requires you to pay fees for application processing, interviews, training or any other reason.
Avoid sharing sensitive details — such as identification numbers, bank account details or copies of identity documents — until you have verified the employer is legitimate.
Verify recruiters’ and employers’ email addresses. Scammers often use generic domains such as Gmail or Yahoo rather than official company domains.
Look up the company online, visit its official website and read reviews to make sure it is reputable.
Legitimate companies have a physical address, phone number and professional email addresses for their recruiters.
Be cautious of job offers that arrive out of the blue, without you applying or showing interest in the role.
If you have any questions, concerns or suspicions about any communication or job opportunity related to Stemgenic, please do not hesitate to contact us. Your security and peace of mind are of utmost importance to us.
