Operations Director - Food Specialties
Job Details
Our client is a well-established Food Specialties manufacturing organization, currently seeking a seasoned leader to assume the role of Operations Director. This appointment is intended to provide senior-level oversight across site execution and operational alignment. The role is designed to ensure consistency, reliability, and disciplined delivery within a complex manufacturing environment.
The organization is looking for an experienced operator who brings structure, sound judgement, and a measured leadership approach to sustaining operational standards and ensuring stable performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide senior leadership oversight across Manufacturing operations to ensure consistent, predictable, and compliant execution
- Establish and maintain operating conditions under which Food Safety and Quality Assurance expectations are reliably achieved
- Enable effective Stakeholder Engagement across technical, operational, and support functions to ensure alignment and timely decision-making
- Identify emerging operational risks and ensure measured, proportionate responses that protect continuity and performance
- Support senior leadership with accurate, grounded assessments of site readiness, operational capability, and overall performance
Job Requirements
- Minimum 12–18 years of progressive leadership experience within structured Manufacturing environments, with exposure to regulated or process-driven operations
- Background in Food Specialties, Food Ingredients, Nutrition, Flavors, Specialty Chemicals, or adjacent value-added manufacturing clusters
- Demonstrated end-to-end accountability for operational outcomes linked to Food Safety and Quality Assurance
- Proven leadership capability in complex organizations, with experience guiding multi-disciplinary teams through clarity, consistency, and sound judgement
- Strong track record of Stakeholder Engagement, including effective collaboration with technical leadership, operations, supply chain, commercial teams, and external partners
- Ability to influence across functions and seniority levels through credibility, experience, and decision quality rather than positional authority
Known for a measured leadership style, exercising discretion, pragmatism, and disciplined follow-through in high-stakes environments
