Our client is a leading international player in the specialty chemicals industry, with a strong manufacturing presence in Singapore and operations spanning the Asia Pacific region. Renowned for their innovation, technical expertise, and commitment to quality, they are seeking a dynamic and driven Product Manager to lead business growth across key regional markets.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, you will take ownership of a high-value product portfolio, developing and executing strategies to expand market share, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable business growth across Southeast Asia, China, South Korea, and Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify growth opportunities and new business development channels within the assigned markets.
- Build and maintain a robust partner and distributor network to support business expansion.
- Develop strong, solution-driven relationships with customers, understanding their technical and commercial needs.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to inform product and sales strategies.
- Collaborate closely with technical, laboratory, and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage customer feedback and oversee resolution of product or service concerns.
- Prepare forecasts, pricing proposals, and performance reports to drive business planning.
- Represent the business at key industry events, exhibitions, and seminars.
Job Requirements
- Degree-qualified with at least 8 years of regional sales or product managementexperience in the specialty chemicals sector.
- Proven track record in international sales/trading and distributor/channel management.
- Strong ability to understand and apply technical product knowledge.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical, commercially astute, and solutions-focused, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to travel regionally (approx. 50%).
