Marketing Manager -Specialty Chemicals
- Ingredients for Personal Care, Home Care & Pharma / Healthcare markets
- Permanent Opportunity
- Individual Contributor
- High Impact role
- Location: Thailand, India, Indonesia, Singapore
Job Details
We are supporting a leading specialty chemicals business to appoint a Marketing Manager in Singapore. This is not a classic “make-brochures-and-run-campaigns” product marketing job. This role sits at the intersection of portfolio strategy, pricing, and commercial intelligence.
You’ll own the “outside-in” view of the market—what customers are prioritizing, how competitors are moving, what’s trending, and what that means for the business’s portfolio direction and pricing decisions. If you enjoy turning market noise into clear commercial moves, this one’s for you.
Key Responsibilities
Own portfolio marketing for assigned ingredient / product categories across Personal Care, Home Care, and Pharma related applications
- Drive pricing strategy: monitor price positioning, margins, value-in-use logic, and support pricing decisions with solid market rationale
- Build and maintain strong customer landscape intelligence: segments, buying behaviors, key accounts, emerging needs, and unmet gaps
- Track competitor activity (product launches, pricing moves, positioning, channel strategies) and convert insights into actions for commercial teams
- Identify and communicate market trends (regulatory shifts, sustainability, consumer movements, formulation trends) and assess impact on portfolio direction
- Partner closely with Sales, Technical, and R&D teams to sharpen value propositions and prioritize portfolio opportunities
- Support go-to-market decisions with structured analysis, business cases, and crisp internal stakeholder updates
- Develop tools and narratives that help commercial teams win—value messaging, competitor comparisons, positioning frameworks (not fluffy content—useful tools)
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B marketing / portfolio / strategic marketing within specialty chemicals covering personal care/home care/cosmetics/pharma markets.
- Strong working knowledge of pricing mechanics (margin logic, competitive benchmarking, value-based pricing)
- Demonstrated capability in market intelligence: turning customer + competitor data into actionable commercial recommendations
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Technical, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams
- Strong analytical thinking with confident communication—can simplify complex market inputs into clear direction
Why This Role
- High-impact role with visibility across portfolio decisions and commercial strategy
- Strong linkage to real business outcomes: pricing, portfolio focus, competitive positioning
- Opportunity to work with a well-established specialty chemicals platform in a strategic seat
Please be advised that due to the considerable number of applications we receive, we are only able to contact candidates who meet our client’s requirements.
We appreciate your understanding and wish you the best in your career endeavors.
