I have partnered exclusively with a leading International Specialty Chemicals Business, to help identify a suitable candidate for a Logistics Manager role, that is to be based in Singapore.
As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing logistics and warehouse activities, ensuring the smooth and safe handling of raw materials and finished products. Reporting to the Operations Head, you will lead a team and play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of housekeeping, inventory management, and timely dispatch of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage logistics and warehouse activities, including unloading, loading, and storage of materials.
- Enforce policies for proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate material requisition requests and ensure timely issuance of requested materials.
- Maintain warehouse facilities and equipment functionality.
- Organize dispatch of air, sea, or land transport for finished products and customer samples.
- Ensure compliance with transport rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory and initiate re-orders when necessary.
- Enforce work, health, and safety procedures within the department.
- Train, mentor, and guide logistics staff in various logistics and warehouse activities.
- Experience in permit declaration and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) matters.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related discipline from a Recognized University.
- 4-8 years of experience in Logistics Management within the Chemicals/Food/Nutrition sector covering Warehouse, Customs Regulation and Transportation.
- Knowledge in FSSC 22000 – Food Safety will be a plus.
- Proven experience in leading a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
