A leading international Food Specialties business is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Director – APAC, based in Singapore.
This is a senior regional leadership position that will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Quality and Food Safety across the APAC region. The successful candidate will provide strategic and technical quality leadership across the region while working closely with local and regional teams.
The role will report directly to the Global/HQ Quality leadership and will require regional travel across APAC as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert for Quality, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and Food Safety across APAC.
- Provide strategic and technical Quality leadership across the region, ensuring alignment with global standards and requirements.
- Lead and develop the Quality team, providing direction, coaching, and technical guidance.
- Drive the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS) across the region.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective quality standards, procedures, policies, and governance in alignment with global requirements.
- Strengthen the organisation’s Quality and Food Safety culture across APAC.
- Lead and support quality audits, compliance reviews, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a key Quality partner to Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial, and other regional stakeholders.
- Identify potential quality and food safety risks and drive appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
- Represent the APAC region on Quality matters and work closely with HQ and global Quality stakeholders.
- Travel within the APAC region as required to support sites, teams, audits, customers, and other Quality initiatives
Job Requirements
- Approximately 12–15 years of Quality experience, preferably within:
- Food Specialties / Food Ingredients
- Nutrition
- Beverage
- Food Manufacturing
- Strong expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety.
- Proven experience leading and developing Quality teams.
- Regional or multi-site Quality experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of quality standards, compliance requirements, audits, risk management, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable operating as a regional Subject Matter Expert and influencing stakeholders across different countries and functions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Willing and able to travel across APAC as required.
