A leading Food Specialties organization with a strong regional footprint is seeking an accomplished Quality Manager to lead and elevate its quality, food safety, and compliance agenda. This is a high-impact role with visibility across manufacturing, R&D, regulatory, and commercial stakeholders, offering both operational ownership and strategic influence.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will be the custodian of quality and food safety standards across the Singapore operation, ensuring robust systems, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will play a key role in shaping quality strategy while remaining close to the factory floor and day-to-day realities of food production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously strengthen the site Quality Management System (QMS) in line with global and regional standards
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GFSI schemes, HACCP, ISO, local regulations)
- Act as the primary point of contact for audits, certifications, customer quality assessments, and regulatory inspections
- Drive food safety culture across the organization through training, coaching, and leadership engagement
- Partner closely with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to support new product introductions, process changes, and scale-ups
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage quality risk assessments related to raw materials, suppliers, processes, and finished products
- Develop, mentor, and lead the quality team, building technical depth and accountability
Job Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of quality and food safety experience within food ingredients, food specialties, flavors, or nutrition manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory frameworks relevant to Singapore and export markets
- Proven experience leading audits, managing non-conformances, and interfacing with customers and authorities
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a manufacturing environment
Confident communicator with the credibility to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership
