A leading international chemicals business is seeking an experienced Regional Logistics Manager – Road Transportation to oversee and optimize road transport operations across the region. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant logistics solutions, driving operational excellence, and enhancing supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities:
The Regional Logistics Manager will lead and manage road transportation operations across multiple markets, ensuring seamless movement of goods while maintaining cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. This role involves optimizing transport networks, developing strategic partnerships with logistics providers, and implementing best practices to enhance safety and service levels. The manager will be responsible for performance monitoring, contract negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency. Additionally, this position requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, procurement, and operations teams, to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in road transportation, logistics, or supply chain management within the chemicals or industrial sector.
- Proven expertise in transport optimization, carrier management, and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance, and safety standards related to road transport.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with experience in third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships.
- Ability to analyze logistics data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
