Job Details
Stemgenic regularly partners with data centre developers, operators, EPC contractors and design-and-build firms across Asia-Pacific to appoint senior project leaders on a contract basis for hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data centre programmes.
We are building a confidential talent pool of experienced Data Centre Project Directors and Senior Project Managers available for project-based contract assignments in Singapore, Johor and across APAC. These roles typically report to a Regional Director or Country Head and carry full accountability for safety, schedule, cost and quality.
Typical Scope of Roles We Recruit For
- Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end delivery of data centre construction projects, from design coordination and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the senior point of contact for clients, consultants, authorities and key subcontractors.
- Commercial Control: Oversee project budgets, cost control, change management and contractual matters.
- Programme & Schedule: Drive integrated programmes across civil, structural and MEP packages to meet critical milestones.
- Safety & Quality: Champion a strong safety culture and ensure quality standards across all site activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop multidisciplinary project teams, including project managers, engineers and site leadership.
Job Requirements
- Education & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Building Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Professional project management or engineering certification (e.g. PMP, PE) would be advantageous.
- Technical Expertise
- Proven track record of delivering mission-critical facilities such as data centres, cleanrooms or high-tech buildings.
Strong understanding of MEP-intensive construction, critical power and cooling systems, and commissioning processes.
- Ideal Industry Background & Alternative Industries
- Data centre developers, operators, EPC and design-and-build contractors.
Professionals from semiconductor fabs, pharmaceutical plants or other high-tech facility projects may also be considered.
- Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to influence senior client and internal stakeholders.
- Other Details
Willing to travel for project requirements across Singapore, Malaysia and the wider APAC region.
