Job Details
Stemgenic partners with data centre operators, contractors and specialist commissioning firms across Asia-Pacific to engage commissioning leaders on a contract basis for new-build and expansion projects.
We are building a confidential talent pool of Commissioning Managers, Commissioning Leads and Cx Engineers available for project-based contracts, with hands-on experience taking mission-critical facilities from installation through to Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and handover.
Typical Scope of Roles We Recruit For
- Commissioning Planning: Develop and manage commissioning plans, scripts and schedules across all MEP systems.
- Testing & Verification: Lead Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning, including factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and IST.
- Critical Systems: Oversee commissioning of critical power (UPS, generators, switchgear) and cooling systems (chillers, CRAH, liquid cooling).
- Coordination: Work closely with contractors, vendors, design consultants and client operations teams.
- Documentation & Handover: Ensure complete commissioning records, issue tracking and smooth handover to operations.
Job Requirements
- Education & Professional Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Commissioning certifications (e.g. CxA, BCxP) would be an added advantage.
- Technical Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in data centre or mission-critical commissioning.
Sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, controls (BMS/EPMS) and testing methodologies.
- Ideal Industry Background & Alternative Industries
- Data centre operators, MEP contractors and commissioning specialists.
Professionals from semiconductor, pharmaceutical or hospital facility commissioning may also be considered.
- Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
- Structured, detail-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to
coordinate multiple contractors and stakeholders on site.
- Other Details
Willing to travel for project requirements across Singapore, Malaysia and the wider APAC region.
