Job Details
Reporting to the Global Creative Director (Fragrances), you will anchor the creative development for the SEA region and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Europe and Asia. You will work on briefs spanning Fine Fragrance, Personal Care, Home Care, Cosmetics, and emerging lifestyle categories, depending on your strengths.
You’ll be the bridge between global olfactive identity and regional market nuance — ensuring every creation reflects technical excellence, emotional resonance, and commercial relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and create fragrance compositions across categories tailored to Southeast Asian consumers and client needs.
- Partner with global and regional evaluators, marketing teams, and R&D to translate creative briefs into market-winning concepts.
- Localise and adapt global accords to meet climate, cultural, and regulatory requirements in SEA.
- Engage closely with clients during fragrance evaluations, discussions, and presentations, showcasing deep product knowledge and storytelling.
- Collaborate with application labs to ensure stability, performance, longevity, and compatibility across product matrices.
- Participate in customer visits, fragrance demonstrations, and co-creation sessions.
- Stay ahead of regional trends, raw material innovations, sustainability preferences, and competitive movements.
- Contribute to building the creative culture, mentoring junior staff (if applicable), and helping shape the identity of the new SEA fragrance team.
Job Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience as a Perfumer within a fragrance house, flavor & fragrance company, or multinational FMCG (with internal perfumery track).
- Strong foundation in raw materials, accords, formulation science, and olfactive families.
- Experience formulating for at least one of the following categories: personal care, home care, fine fragrance, fabric care, cosmetics, or air care.
- Deep understanding of SEA consumer preferences, and olfactory expectations (or willingness to learn rapidly).
- Strong artistic intuition matched with technical discipline.
- Confident communicator, able to articulate olfactive choices and creative rationale to clients and internal teams.
- Fluency in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
Based in Singapore, Malaysia, or Thailand — or willing to relocate within SEA.
