Our client is a leading Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contractor, specializing in the design, construction, and commissioning of industrial plants across the APAC region. With a strong track record in delivering complex industrial facilities for sectors such as specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, food processing, and renewable energy, they are at the forefront of cutting-edge engineering solutions.

To further strengthen their market position and expand regional operations, they are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (APAC) to drive growth, establish strategic partnerships, and secure high-value projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Market Expansion & Business Development
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the APAC region, focusing on industrial plant design and construction projects.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, investors, and key industry stakeholders.
    • Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring successful project acquisitions.
 
  • Strategic Partnerships & Client Engagement
    • Collaborate closely with engineering, commercial, and project management teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
    • Engage with multinational corporations (MNCs), government entities, and EPC project developers to position the company as a preferred contractor.
    • Lead contract negotiations, bids, and proposals in line with market trends and client demands.
 
  • Industry Insights & Market Intelligence
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in EPC, industrial construction, and infrastructure development.
    • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies to support business growth strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
    • 8+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales within the EPC, Construction, or Industrial Plant sector.
    • Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle, from feasibility to execution.
 
  • Regional & Industry Knowledge
    • Proven track record in winning large-scale EPC contracts in APAC, particularly in sectors like pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, oil & gas, food processing, or renewable energy.
    • Established network within the industrial plant construction market.
    • Experience in navigating regulatory frameworks and permitting requirements in the region.
 
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and work cross-functionally with technical teams.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and results-driven approach.
    • Willingness to travel frequently across APAC.
